ADL5391ACPZ-R7 is a DC to 2.0GHz multiplier. It draws on three decades of experience in advanced analogue multiplier products. It provides the same general mathematical function that has been field-proven to provide an exceptional degree of versatility in function synthesis. The most significant advance in the ADL5391 is the use of a new multiplier core architecture, which differs markedly from the conventional form that has been in use since 1970. The conventional structure that employs a current mode, translinear core is fundamentally asymmetric with respect to the X and Y inputs, leading to relative amplitude and timing misalignments that are problematic at high frequencies. Applications include wideband multiplication and summing, high frequency analogue modulation, adaptive antennas (diversity/phased array), square-law detectors and true rms detectors, accurate polynomial function synthesis, DC capable VGA with very fast control.

- Single-supply operation (4.5V to 5.5V at 130mA)
- CMRR is 42.1dB typical at (±1V p-p, Y = 1V, f = 50MHz)
- DC linearity is 1% FS typical at (X to output, Y = 1V)
- Slew rate is 8800V/µs typical at (W from -2.0V to +2.0V, 150 ohm)
- Settling time is 2.1ns typ at (X stepped from -1V to +1V, Z = 0V, 150 ohm)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 16-lead LFCSP package
