The RT9466GQW from Richtek is a 5A single cell Li-Ion switching battery charger with power path management and USB-OTG boost mode in 24 lead WQFN package. It is a switch mode single cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery charger for portable applications. It integrates synchronous PWM controller, power MOSFETs, input current sensing and regulation, high accuracy voltage regulation & charge termination. The charge current is regulated through integrated sensing resistors. It optimizes for charging task by using control algorithm to vary charge rate for different modes including pre-charge mode, fast charge mode (constant voltage & constant current). The key charge parameters are programmable through an I2C interface. It will resume charge cycle whenever battery voltage falls below an internal recharge threshold and can automatically enter sleep mode if input power supply is removed. Other features include thermal regulation, reverse leakage protection, undervoltage and overvoltage protection.

- Shipping mode for battery leakage reduction automatic charging, 4.71V maximum battery voltage VBAT
- 0.1A to 3.25A in 50mA steps average input current regulation (AICR)
- 5A maximum IBAT fast charging current, 6A maximum IBAT discharging current
- 4V to 14V supply input voltage, -40°C to 85°C ambient temperature
- 3.25A maximum input current (VBUS) IAICR, 5A maximum SYS output current (SW) ISYS
