MP4315 is a synchronous step-down switching converter with a configurable frequency, as well as an integrated internal highside MOSFET (HS-FET) and low-side MOSFET (LS-FET). The device provides up to 5A of highly efficient output with current mode control for fast loop response. The wide 3.3V to 45V input voltage range accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. The MP4315's low 1.7µA shutdown mode quiescent current makes the device well-suited for battery-powered applications. High power conversion efficiency across a wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency under light-load conditions to reduce the switching and gate driver losses. An open-drain power good signal indicates whether the output is within 93% to 106% of its nominal voltage. It is available in a QFN-20 (4mmx4mm) wettable flank package. Applications include radios, battery power systems, general purpose consumer applications and industrial power systems.
