MIC5233YM5-TR is a 100mA, highly accurate, low dropout regulator with high input voltage and ultra-low ground current. This combination of high voltage and low ground current makes the device ideal for multicell Li-Ion battery systems. A µCap LDO design, the MIC5233 is stable with either ceramic or tantalum output capacitors. It only requires a 2.2µF output capacitor for stability. Features of the MIC5233 include enabling input, thermal shutdown, current limit and reverse battery protection, and reverse leakage protection. Applications include a keep-alive supply in notebooks and portable computers, USB power supply, logic supply for high-voltage batteries, automotive electronics, battery-powered systems, 3-4 cell Li-ion battery input range.
- AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP capable, wide input voltage range from 2.3V to 36V
- µCap: stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitors, reverse battery protection
- Excellent line and load regulation specifications, reverse leakage protection
- Thermal shutdown and current limit protection, output voltage accuracy is 1% maximum
- Load regulation is 0.25% typical at (IOUT = 100µA to 100mA)
- Dropout voltage is 50mV typical at (IOUT = 100µA, TA = +25°C)
- Ground current is 18µA typical at (IOUT = 100µA, TA = +25°C)
- Short-circuit current is 190mA typical at (VOUT = 0V, TA = +25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
- 5-lead SOT23 package
