MAX9248ECM/V+T

The MAX9248ECM/V+T is a 27bit, 2.5MHz to 42MHz DC balanced LVDS deserializer in 48 pin LQFP package. This digital video serial to parallel converter deserializes total of 27bits during data and control phases. In the data phase, the LVDS serial input is converted to 18bits of parallel video data and in control phase, the input is converted to 9bits of parallel control data. The separate video and control phases take advantage of video timing to reduce serial data rate. The MAX9248 pairs with MAX9247 serializer to form a complete digital video transmission system. The device can also pair with MAX9217 serializer for operating frequencies less than 35MHz. Data decoding reduces EMI and provides DC balance. The MAX9248 has selectable rising or falling output latch edge. ESD tolerance is specified for ISO 10605 with ±10KV contact discharge and ±30KV air gap discharge. It is used in navigation system displays, in-vehicle entertainment systems and LCD displays.

• Output transition time is scaled to operating frequency for reduced EMI
• Worst case supply current of 19mA (2.5MHz, RNG1=low, RNG0=low) & power-down supply current of 50μA
• Clock pulse stretch on lock and wide ±2% reference clock tolerance
• 400ns period, 42MHz frequency, 50% duty cycle and 100ns power-down delay
• Separate output supply allows interface to 1.8V to 3.3V and logic +3.3V core power supply
