WLC1115 is a wireless charging IC (WLC) - transmitter 15W with integrated USB Type-C PD controller. It is a highly integrated, Qi compliant wireless power transmitter with integrated USB Type-C power delivery (PD). It complies with the latest Qi specification for 15W applications. It is also compliant with the latest USB Type-C and PD specifications and is ideal for up to 15W charging applications. It has integrated gate drivers for the buck and inverter power supplies that are necessary for wireless transmitter applications. WLC1115 supports a wide input voltage range and offers many programmable features for creating distinct wireless transmitter solutions. Potential applications are wireless charging pads for extended power profile (EPP) (15W) and basic power profile (BPP) (5W), smart speakers, portable accessories, furniture and home goods, docking stations, high speed charging support.
- Qi v1.3.x compliant transmitter (MP-A11 coil), integrated USB-PD controller
- Supports latest USB-PD 3.0 version, programmable power supply (PPS) mode
- Integrated buck converter controller for VBRIDGE (VBRG), integrated Q factor detection
- Integrated gate drivers for buck converter and inverter, integrated FSK modulator
- Wide input voltage range is 4.5V-24V, communication ports is I²C, UART
- Overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP)
- Supports over-temperature protection through integrated ADC circuit and internal temperature sensor
- –40°C to +105°C extended industrial temperature range
- 68 lead QFN 8 x 8 x 0.65mm package
- Includes various analogue and digital peripherals such as ADC, PWMs, and timers
