MAX9611AUB+T is a high-side current-sense amplifier with an integrated 12-bit ADC and a gain block that can be configured either as an op amp or comparator, making this device ideal for a number of industrial and automotive applications. It features a noninverting input-to-output configuration. The internal amplifier can be used to limit the inrush current or to create a current source in a closed-loop system. The comparator can be used to monitor fault events for fast response. An I2C-controlled 12-bit, 500sps analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) can be used to read the voltage across the sense resistor (VSENSE), the input common-mode voltage (VRSCM), op-amp/comparator output (VOUT), op-amp/comparator reference voltage (VSET), and internal die temperature. Applications include hybrid automotive power supplies, server backplanes, base-station PA control, base-station feeder cable bias-T, telecom cards, battery-operated equipment.

- Power-supply input range from 2.7 to 5.5V guaranteed by PSRR
- Shutdown current is 5µA typical (no activity on SCL)
- Integrated 12-bit ADC, LSB step size is 13.44µV typ at gain=8x
- 500μV (max) current-sense ADC input offset voltage
- Gain error is 0.5% maximum at TA=+25°C, gain=8x
- I2C bus with 16 addresses
- Input bias current is 2µA maximum at TA=+25°C
