The MAX397CAI+ is a precision dual 8-channel, low voltage, CMOS analogue multiplexer in 28 pin SSOP package. This device is fabricated with Analog Devices low voltage silicon-gate process. The design improvements yield extremely low charge injection and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection greater than 2000V per Method 3015.7. It operates with single supply or dual supplies while retaining CMOS logic input compatibility and fast switching. Device is pin compatible with the industry standard MAX307, DG407 and DG507A. It has off isolation of -75dB at RL = 1Kohm, f = 100KHz and crosstalk between channels of -92dB at f = 100KHz with dual supply. It is used in sample and hold circuits, avionics and low voltage data acquisition systems, battery operated equipment, automatic test equipment, communications systems, audio signal routing and industrial process control.
- Single supply operation (+2.7V to +16V) and dual supply operation (±2.7V to ±8V)
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
- Maximum on-resistance is 225ohm at TA = +25°C (single +5V supply)
- Maximum RON match between channels is 10 ohm at TA = +25°C (single +5V supply)
- Maximum RON flatness over specified signal range is 16ohm at TA = +25°C (single +5V supply)
- Low charge injection of 5pC maximum with single +5V supply
- COM off-leakage current is 0.02nA, COM on-leakage current is 0.04nA at TA = +25°C (single supply)
- NO off leakage current is 0.03nA at TA = +25°C (single supply)
- TTL/CMOS compatible, low power consumption is <lt/> 10μW
- Break before make interval of 65ns at TA = +25°C (single +5V supply)
