MAX3160EAP+

MAX3160EAP+ is a RS-485 multiprotocol transceiver. Slew-rate limiting minimizes EMI and reduces reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission up to 250Kbps. Typical applications include point-of-sales equipment peripherals, industrial controls networking, RS-232 to RS-485, and interface converters.

• Short-circuit protection over the entire common mode voltage range

• VCC standby current is 1.2mA typ at no load, RS485/active-low RS232=GND
• VCC shutdown current is 1µA typ at active-low SHDN=GND, receiver inputs open or grounded
• 20 SSOP package
• Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
