The PTH08T240WAZ is a 1-output 55W surface-mount non-isolated adjust Power Module with TurboTrans™. The PTH08T240W is a high-performance 10A rated non-isolated power module. This module represent the 2nd generation of the popular PTH series power modules and include a reduced footprint and additional features. Operating from an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V, the PTH08T240W requires a single resistor to set the output voltage to any value over the range, 0.69 to 5.5V. The wide input voltage range makes the PTH08T240W particularly suitable for advanced computing and server applications that utilize a loosely regulated 8 to 12V intermediate distribution bus. Additionally, the wide input voltage range increases design flexibility by supporting operation with tightly regulated 5, 8 or 12V intermediate bus architectures. The module incorporates a comprehensive list of features. Output over-current and over-temperature shutdown protects against most load faults.
