XMC1400 Arm® Cortex®-M0 AA-step industrial microcontroller devices are members of the XMC1000 family of microcontrollers based on the 32bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor core. This series addresses the real-time control needs of motor control and digital power conversion. It also features peripherals for LED Lighting applications and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and 2x4 16bit 96MHz CCU8 timers for complex PWM, complementary high/low side switches and multi phase control. Its external crystal oscillator support and internal slow and fast oscillators without the need of PLL. Its also has 2x POSIF for hall and quadrature encoders, motor positioning and 9 channel BCCU for LED lighting applications. Typical applications are industrial I/O/motor control, smart lighting-tightly interconnected peripherals supporting various digital power conversion techniques, automatic exponential dimming and linear intensity changes make brightness or color changes appear smooth and natural to the human eye.

- ADC (kernels/analog inputs) are 2/12, 4-ACMP analog, 48-GPIOs, 8-GPIs, 70%+ performance
- Nested vectored interrupt controller, 64 interrupt nodes, up to 8 high current pads (50mA sink)
- Window watchdog, real time clock module, pseudo random number generator
- Up to 8 channels out of range comparators and 4 fast analog comparators
- 2x4 16bit 96MHz CCU4 timers for signal monitoring and PWM, 4 breakpoints, 2 watchpoints
- Single-pin bootloader, Free DAVE™ toolchain with low level drivers and apps, temperature sensor
