Sicurezza, protezione e telaio
I sistemi relativi a sicurezza, protezione e telaio servono a tutelare l'auto e i suoi occupanti. In particolare, proteggono da furti, collisioni, incidenti e ormai anche da "quasi incidenti". I sistemi di prevenzione delle collisioni possono perfino prendere il controllo dello sterzo e dei freni se rilevano che sta per avvenire una collisione, frenando o cambiando direzione per cercare di evitarla. In caso di collisione, le piccole cariche di accensione detonano per aprire gli airbag e proteggere gli occupanti dell'auto e prevenire infortuni. Inoltre, gli allarmi e i sensori interni contribuiscono a prevenire furti o la perdita dell'auto.
