Elettronica di bordo e illuminazione
L'elettronica di bordo controlla molti dei sistemi che non controllano direttamente il motore o l'elettronica. Alcuni di tali sistemi riguardano i tergicristalli, i finestrini, la chiusura delle portiere e l'impianto di climatizzazione. L'elettronica di bordo controlla inoltre i fari e l'illuminazione interna, così come la regolazione dei sedili qualora essa sia elettrica. Data l'ampia gamma di funzionalità, l'elettronica di bordo richiede a sua volta un'ampia gamma di ingressi e di uscite.

 | Gli LDR servono a rilevare il livello di luminosità. Vengono utilizzati nei fari automatici. Utilizzando un LDR a infrarossi insieme a un LED a infrarossi è possibile realizzare tergicristalli automatici. |  | MOSFET I MOSFET servono ad aumentare la potenza, ma in misura minore rispetto a un amplificatore di potenza, ad esempio nei motori passo-passo o nei motori CC a bassa potenza. |

Grazie ad essi, tutti i sistemi all'interno dell'auto sono sincronizzati. |

 | Amplificatori di potenza Gli amplificatori di potenza servono per amplificare segnali analogici o per aumentare la corrente e la tensione di un ingresso digitale. Vengono usati per alimentare motori o per amplificare l'uscita di LDR o termistori. |  | Lampadine Le lampadine possono essere usate sia all'interno sia all'esterno, per i fari o per l'illuminazione interna. |
