Product Overview
The MAX6694TE9A+ is a 5-channel precision temperature monitor with beta compensation in 16 pin TQFN package. This precision multichannel temperature sensor monitors its own temperature and temperatures of up to four external diode connected transistors. All temperature channels have programmable alert thresholds. Channels 1 and 4 also have programmable overtemperature thresholds. When the measured temperature of a channel exceeds respective threshold, a status bit is set in one of the status registers. Two open-drain outputs, active-low OVERT and active-low ALERT assert corresponding to these bits in status register. The 2-wire serial interface supports standard system management bus (SMBus) protocols (write byte, read byte, send byte and receive byte) for reading temperature data and programming alarm thresholds.

- Monitors one local and four remote temperatures including sub 65nm, low beta thermal transistor
- Four thermal diode inputs and local temperature sensor
- Beta compensation (channel 1) and supply sensitivity of temperature accuracy of ±0.2/°CV
- Temperature resolution of 11bit (channel 1) and 8bit (other diode channels)
- 1.5°C remote temperature accuracy (60°C to 100°C)
- Temperature monitoring begins at POR for fail safe system protection
- Active-low STBY input for hardware standby mode
- Software standby supply current of 3μA and operating current of 500μA
