Product Overview
LT®3015 series is low noise low dropout negative linear regulator with fast transient response. Quiescent current is also well controlled in dropout. In addition to fast transient response, the LT3015 series exhibit very low output noise, making them ideal for noise sensitive applications. The LT3015 regulators are stable with a minimum 10µF output capacitor. Moreover, the regulator can use small ceramic capacitors without the necessary addition of ESR as is common with other regulators. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse output protection, precision current limit with foldback and thermal limit with hysteresis. Applications are post-regulator for switching supplies, negative logic supplies, low noise instrumentation, industrial supplies.
- Minimum IN pin voltage is –1.8V (at ILOAD = –0.5A, TA = 25°C)
- Output current is 1.5A
- Dropout voltage is 0.1V (at ILOAD = –100mA)
- Output voltage noise is 60µVRMS (COUT = 10µF, ILOAD = –1.5A, BW = 10Hz to 100kHz, VOUT = –1.22V)
- Stable with ceramic, tantalum or aluminium capacitors
- Fixed output voltage is -5V (VIN = –5.5, ILOAD = –1mA)
- Quiescent current in shutdown is 6µA maximum (VIN = –6V, V active-low SHDN = 0V)
- Input reverse leakage current is 4mA typical (at VIN = 30V, VOUT, VADJ, VSHDN = open circuit)
- 8-lead (3mm × 3mm) plastic DFN package
- –40°C to 125°C temperature rating
