Product Overview
ADP7159 is an adjustable linear regulator. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, the device provides high power supply rejection and ultralow noise, achieving excellent line and load transient response with only a 10μF ceramic output capacitor. Typical application includes regulation to noise sensitive applications: phase-locked, loops (PLLs), voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs), and, PLLs with integrated VCOs, communications and infrastructure and backhaul and microwave links.
- Input voltage range from 2.3V to 5.5V and adjustable output voltage range (VOUT) from 1.2V to 3.3V
- Maximum load current is 2A
- 0.9μVrms/1.6μVrms total integrated noise from 100Hz to 100KHz/10Hz to 100KHz
- 1.7nV/√Hz from 10KHz to 1MHz noise spectral density
- Power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 68dB from 1KHz to 100KHz, 45dB at 1MHz
- 200mV typical dropout voltage at IOUT = 2A, VOUT = 3.3V
- 4mA typical at 0μA and 9mA typical at 2A supply current and 0.2μA typical low shutdown current
- Initial accuracy is ±0.6% at ILOAD =10mA and accuracy over line, load, and temperature is ±1.5%
- 8-lead NSOIC-EP package
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
