Product Overview
AD5689 is a dual, 16bit nanoDAC+ with SPI interface. This device includes a gain select pin giving a full-scale output of 2.5V (gain = 1) or 5V (gain = 2). It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, are guaranteed monotonic by design, and exhibit less than 0.1% FSR gain error and 1.5mV offset error performance. It also incorporates a power-on reset circuit and a RSTSEL pin that ensure that the DAC outputs power up to zero scale or midscale and remain there until a valid write takes place. Each part contains a per channel power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 4µA at 3V while in power-down mode. Application includes optical transceivers, base station power amplifiers, process control (PLC I/O cards), industrial automation, data acquisition systems.

- Relative accuracy is a ±1LSB typical at (gain = 2, VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- TUE is ±0.1% of FSR maximum, +0.1mV typical offset error (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- High drive capability 20mA, 0.5V from supply rails
- User-selectable gain of 1 or 2 (GAIN pin), reset to zero scale or midscale (RSTSEL pin)
- 1.8V logic compatibility, 50MHz SPI with readback or daisy chain
- 0.5nV-sec typical low glitch, 3.3mW at 3V low power
- 2.7V to 5.5V power supply range
- Differential nonlinearity is ±1LSB maximum at (guaranteed monotonic by design)
- 16 lead LFCSP-WQ package, temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
